American Airlines Center
Dallas, Texas

Celebrating the opening with a July 27, 2001 ribbon cutting, this new $420 million arena is the home to the Dallas Mavericks of the NBA and the Dallas Stars of the NHL. Seating is 19,200 for basketball, 18,100 for hockey and 20,021 for concerts. Included are 132 luxury suites, 4 party suites on three levels, 10 event-level founders’ suites, and approximately 2,000 club seats. The new arena is a very visible component of a new sports and entertainment complex being developed near downtown Dallas.

"The technology allows us to sell every item to every seat," said Martin Woodall, the Mavericks' representative on arena issues. "No other building does this." -The Dallas Morning News
