William H. Natcher Conference Center Bethesda, Maryland |
| The
Natcher Building is an anchor for the Institute's Bethesda campus. The
centerpiece of the 1,500,000 sq. ft. consolidated office facility is a
conference and training center with a 1,000 seat sub-divided auditorium.
Wrightson, Johnson, Haddon and Williams, Inc. designed multi-media systems,
simultaneous interpretation systems and broadcast teleconferencing provisions
throughout the facility as well as provided acoustical and mechanical
noise consulting.
The state-of-the-art Multi-Media systems serve each conference space, including campus-wide CCTV and video teleconferencing capabilities. The 1,000 seat, tiered auditorium can divide into four segments and is equipped with a full compliment of multi-media equipment in each separate section. The capability for simultaneous interpretation of eight to twelve languages is a significant design component of the project. A dozen multifunction conference rooms and auditoriums of varying sizes complete the conference center. © 2000,2001 Wrightson, Johnson, Haddon & Williams, Inc. |
